Big Lake Stables is a small friendly Barn managed by Terri Cook of TLC Horsemanship and assisted by Meighen. We offer full care board at an affordable, reasonable price includes 20 lbs. of beautiful local grass hay daily, paddocks with pea gravel for winter and mud management, with long grass runs in Summer and Fall, automatic waterers, stalls cleaned daily, feedings three times per day, and use of the wash rack, heated lunch/social room, tack lockers, and a 120 X 60 covered arena.
The barn is quiet and relaxing, with seven stalls. Pastures are available for additional summer grazing and the occasional nap!
To help your budget, we offer group vet and farrier visits. Hand-picked and friendly trainers are available for group or private lessons and training, and support. Terri is a certified Ken McNabb Master Trainer, with 35 years experience in horse keeping.
2012 started our relationship with "Horses for Clean Water" and we are excited to have a Conservation District Farm Plan in the works, with mud, manure, and grass management upgrades in our future!
Upcoming improvements and events include outdoor trail courses and round pen, massage clinics, and saddle fitting clinics. Subscribe to our wall for additional fun activities. As always, tours and auditing of all events are complementary!
